Terms of Service

VigilVest is an informational research tool that helps users understand publicly available financial data including SEC filings, earnings reports, and stock price history. VigilVest is operated by the VigilVest team (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using vigilvest.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

VigilVest does not recommend buying, selling, or holding any security. Past performance of any financial instrument is not indicative of future results. Markets are inherently uncertain and investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal.

Before making any investment decision, you should consult a qualified financial adviser who can take your individual circumstances into account. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information obtained from the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. The Service is not directed at residents of jurisdictions where access to financial information services is restricted by law.

Free accounts allow you to search up to 5 stocks and maintain a watchlist of up to 5 tickers. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must notify us immediately at contact@vigilvest.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraudulent, abusive, or illegal purposes.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or any unlawful content.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security measures.
• Reproduce or redistribute Service content commercially without our consent.

All original content on the Service, including AI-generated summaries, narrative analysis, UI design, and code, is owned by VigilVest or its licensors. Underlying financial data (prices, filings, earnings figures) is sourced from third-party providers and public records and remains the property of those respective sources.

You may view and print individual pages for personal, non-commercial use only.

Financial data is sourced from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP), the SEC EDGAR system, and other public sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Prices shown may be delayed and do not reflect real-time market conditions.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Some summaries and analysis on the Service are generated using artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You should always verify important information independently before making any decisions. AI-generated content is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VigilVest and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
